Clocking a Trip: Answer
You wait at the workplace, and your friend leaves from home. He has
both stopwatches. As he leaves, he starts both watches and leaves one
of them behind. The time shown by the watch upon arrival to work is
the time taken by the trip, of course, and the honesty of your friend
can be verified by returning to the starting point of his trip and
checking that both watches show the same time.
